Information about psychotherapy in general
Information about insurance reimbursement
Specific to forensic (court-involved) services

About Payment:

Payment is required in full at the time of service, inclusive of all services.   For information about insurance reimbursement and direction about seeking direct reimbursement yourself, click Click here to learn more!

Fees may be negotiable in some instances. Dr. Garber recognizes that the costs of psychotherapy can be burdensome. Following completion of a preliminary assessment (as appropriate to circumstances), fees for continuing serves can be renegotiated upon request. Reduced fees and payment plans can be arranged prospectively. Reduced fee schedules are not available in the course of conducting court-related (forensic) services Click here to learn more

Fees vary by type of service. Clinical services are charged on the basis of a 50-minute clinical hour. Forensic (that is, court-related) services are charged at a different rate and are based on a full 60-minute hour. In both instances, cost is determined by the time alotted for the service. View Dr. Garber's typical psychotherapy payment agreement form Click here to learn more!

A retainer may be required in advance of  some assessment and forensic services. In these instances, Dr. Garber will provide parties with a contract detailing services, anticipated costs and the retainer request. Services will commence upon receipt of the retainer. the retainer will be depleted as services are rendered through completion of the agreed service or until the retainer reaches a preset minimum, at which point Dr. Garber will request that the retainer be replenished as per the contracted agreement.   Dr. Garber must reserve the right to suspend services pending parties' fulfillment of all payment agreements except where suspension of services risks harm to any party.
