Work?
In
one or more of three ways:
1. Interactive Group Presentation:
Having a conference, annual meeting or employee retreat? Consider opening
(or closing) the day with a lively, engaging and informative presentation
on a topic in child and family development. Dr. Garber's 60-, 90- and 120
minute presentations are routinely received with high praise from parents
and professionals alike. Contact Dr. Garber via e-mail at papaben@healthyparent.com
to discuss the topic that suits
your needs, or consider one of the several sample topics listed here:
2. Small Group and Individual Consultation:
No matter who you are, no matter what your training
or background, there will be times when you lose perspective. You find that
little things are starting to irritate you. The staff seems to be on edge,
overwhelmed or losing their empathy. A particularly challenging child is
burning out your best providers. This is when consultation can be invaluable.
Dr. Garber can bring new light to the issues that have you stymied: Creative
solutions, alternate responses and sound, practical child-centered recommendations,
all from a background in child development and from years of expertise in
the treatment of child psychopathology. Contact Dr. Garber at papaben@healthyparent.com
to discuss
the many options available.
3. System and Policy
Observation, Review and Feedback: In the
same way that your body needs periodic check-ups, your child-care procedures,
curricula and staff need periodic review. Dr. Garber is prepared to bring
expertise in child development, in communication, mediation and systems/procedures,
and in relevant legal standards into your child-care, school, and mental
health or pediatric practice to help establish and maintain the healthiest
child-centered facility possible. Different than Presentation and Consultation
services, Observation, Review and Feedback offers a more thorough examination
of the various avenues through which your facility meets your children's
and your community's needs. E-mail papaben@healthyparent.com

Consultative costs can often be tailored to your needs and
circumstance, but must be limited by travel and time constraints. Dr. Garber
